dude, it's Des Bishop, who I had discovered independently a few years ago via Katie Boyle. Both Irish American comedians. I didn't even realize he had gone to China or learned Chinese

I actively went looking for, and subscribed to The Bishop Exchange, his podcast with John Bishop (unrelated) and Brad. John was famous in Britain around the time I lived there, as maybe the only non-footballer Scouse accent on the telly. He had some killer bits drinking wine on YouTube during the pandemic, which really uplifted people (including me!) during dark times. I just love listening to him tell stories, and reacting to people with a sort of Northern incredulity and a funny slow, common-sense delivery
